Is my company required to prove disposal?
Yes. Brazil’s National Solid Waste Policy (Law No. 12,305/2010) keeps the generator liable even when it hires a pickup service. That is why it is important to keep the transport and final disposal documentation for each batch.
Isn’t formatting the computer enough to erase the data?
No. Deleted files or formatted drives can be recovered. Secure destruction requires physically destroying the media, with a batch record. This is a precaution required by Brazil’s LGPD, which calls for security measures for personal data.
Which documents do I receive?
Records follow every stage, from intake to the final report, and the certificate is issued according to your waste management plan or our recommendation after the assessment. At first contact, we explain which documents apply to your case.
